Six Vectors of Health

At Astride Health, we believe that health is interconnected. We evaluate your health across a wide range of measures, and we build a plan with you to optimize your health today and for years to come. We call this a Precision Health Plan, and it’s anchored in six vectors of action:

Exercise

Medicine & Supplements

Stress Resilience

Sleep

Nutrition

Social Connection

Meet Your Care Team

At Astride, you don’t rotate between strangers—you work with a consistent team who gets to know you and your goals. Meet two of our leaders who help shape the expert care we deliver.

Chuck Svendsen, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Guides members with a whole-person approach, using advanced diagnostics to address root causes and create sustainable health strategies.

Chuck brings over two decades of experience as a bariatric surgeon and metabolic health expert, having performed more than 4,500 procedures and guided thousands of patients through long-term lifestyle change. His clinical expertise lies in metabolic dysfunction, inflammation, and cellular aging—often the hidden roots of stubborn symptoms.

At Astride Health, Chuck leads with a whole-person philosophy. He doesn’t just treat symptoms—he helps members understand their biology, make meaningful changes, and sustain them over time. He’s also the architect of our Lifestyle Aftercare Program, a comprehensive framework that goes beyond surgery or medication to address movement, sleep, and metabolic repair.

When he’s not in clinic, you’ll find Chuck on the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mat or out cycling—always experimenting with the latest science and coaching strategies. He believes deeply that “you can’t out-exercise a bad diet”—but you can build a better life with the right support.

Jen Ahlberg, PhD

Chief Human Performance Officer

Helps members unlock functional movement and fitness potential with personalized programs built on science and compassion.

With a PhD in Exercise Science and two decades of experience helping humans perform better—from Division I athletes to 60-year-olds returning to movement—Jen brings a rare blend of compassion, clinical insight, and deep technical expertise.

Her superpower? Translating complex biomechanics and data into personalized, sustainable programs that help people move better and live with less pain. Jen’s background in nutritional biochemistry and epidemiology gives her a systems-level understanding of how stress, injury, and aging shape the body over time.

At Astride, Jen helps members unlock functional movement and fitness potential at every age. She’s passionate about helping people get strong—not just in the gym, but in life. Whether you’re recovering from injury or ready to reclaim your strength, Jen helps make “what’s possible” feel possible again.
